Kevin Driscoll

Sports Illustrated, Director of Social Media

Kevin Driscoll is social media director for the Sports Illustrated Group. His responsibilities include managing strategy, development, programming, and production across SI’s social channels, including Sports Illustrated, SI Swimsuit, The Crossover, SI Eats, and more.

Since joining SI in January 2017, Driscoll has transformed social media at Sports Illustrated into an outlet that both entertains and engages SI’s audience. He has created a cross-platform social media presence that delivers entertaining content, essential information, a mix of sports and pop culture, and a direct connection to the standout journalism SI produces. In the year Driscoll has worked at Time, he has grown SI’s social presence across the board by broadening SI’s social audience, increasing social video views, launching new social accounts, and much more.

Driscoll’s keen understanding of what engages SI’s audience has led to a complete reorganization of the brand’s social media ethos and operation. Driscoll has instituted new tactics that bring legacy aspects of SI to social, like revealing the cover through a graphic on Twitter or putting potential cover images up for a fan vote on Instagram. He has launched multiple live shows streaming on Facebook, like SI’s weekly sports trivia show Next Question! and SI’s 2017 NBA and NFL live draft shows. Working with SI Swimsuit, Driscoll instigated a open casting call on Instagram using the hashtag #SISwimSearch to find SI Swimsuit’s newest cast of models, which received more than 5,000 submissions.

Driscoll joined Time from the Daily Mail, where he was deputy social media editor. He graduated from Stonehill College with a degree in political science.
