Matt Panto

The Ivy League, Senior Assistant Executive Director, Digital Media and Communications

Matt Panto is the senior assistant executive director for digital media and communications at the Ivy League office. Panto serves as the direct contact for the League's current and potentially new television partners. He oversees the broadcast scheduling for League packages, as well as close collaboration with schools for institutional relationships. Panto is also the on-site contact for broadcast partners during televised championship events.

Panto manages the planning, development, marketing, and daily management of the Ivy League Network (ILN) and the League's overall digital media initiatives. Powered by the Ivy League Network's partnership with NeuLion, the ILN has averaged over 1,100 events across 34 sports, broadcasting select events to ESPN3, Stadium, and regional sports networks, in its first four years. Panto is responsible for live production and on-demand content for the League's 14 championship events.

Panto has also spearheaded the League's relationship with Awesome Films, creating a series titled "What Is #OneIvy?" that was named a finalist for the 2016 SVG/NACDA College Sports Media Awards. He currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Sports Video Group (SVG) and is an active member of NACMA, CoSIDA, and NACDA.

Panto came to the Ivy League after spending seven years at Lafayette College in Easton, PA, where he was responsible for all digital media content for Lafayette’s 23 varsity sports, including scheduling and production of live events, on-demand content, and staffing. Through his oversight, GoLeopards.com thrived and became one of the Patriot League's leading platforms for video content. Most notably, he was the producer of Lafayette's "Signing Day Central presented by Coke Zero," a live, all-day webcast devoted to the announcement of student-athletes signing their letters of intent to attend Lafayette on football signing day, from 2009-13.

Panto's responsibilities also included an integral role with the television and radio packages of the Lafayette Sports Network (LSN), including radio broadcasts, stadium and arena signage, weekly television shows, video streaming, game programs, hospitality areas, and game-day promotional events. He also served as the play-by-play voice for selected sports, including women's basketball, lacrosse, and soccer. He was an analyst for volleyball contests on LSN and GoLeopards.com.

On the marketing side, Panto helped the Leopard football program lead the Patriot League in attendance from 2008-10 and again in 2012. He was directly responsible for game-day and in-game events and promotions.

Prior to his time at Lafayette, Panto earned his bachelor's degree in marketing and communication from DeSales University in 2006. Panto resides in Langhorne, PA with his wife, Danielle, and their daughter Reagan (1).
