Bruce Sandler

NBA, Director, Graphics – Broadcast Operations Technology

As director of graphics – broadcast operations technology for the NBA, Bruce Sandler is responsible for graphic elements developed for NBA platforms, including those used in international broadcasts and digital products. He oversees the creation of in-game packages, stats and data interfaces, and virtual graphics for the NBA, WNBA, and NBA G League.

Prior to joining the NBA in 2012, Sandler worked as the graphics manager for CBS News where he oversaw the visuals for both the 2008 U.S. presidential election and 2010 U.S. midterm elections. He began his career in sports in 1988 as a graphics operator at ESPN. In 1997, he served as a graphics manager for ESPN Star Sports based in Singapore, which was the largest sports broadcaster in Asia at the time. After 16 years with ESPN, Sandler joined the WWE in 2005 to direct all on-air graphics operations.

Sandler holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and business from Vanderbilt University. He also has a master of arts in television, radio, and film from Syracuse University.
